Great, challenging work out! Not being familiar with this workout…
Great, challenging work out! Not being familiar with this workout, I was concerned about how quickly there was a constant steep climb and how quickly my heart rate was rising to around 128 bpm. I didn’t know that this work out would move fairly quickly into more of a steady state with much lower incline.
Early into the worked out as my heart rate was raising I did change the incline and the pace on my treadmill briefly. I also realized quickly into the workout that I had I had forgotten to stretch my shins and I began having some shin discomfort in my right leg. So I hopped off the treadmill and did my shin stretches quickly.
I change the view on my iPad so that I could see the course and saw that the rest of the course was going to be much more of a steady pay Pace without much of an incline. So I was able to finish the rest of the work out without any other adjustments to my treadmill. I would like to try this workout again now that I am familiar with the course.
Technology issues: the Echo Heartwell app on my iPhone did not connect to my treadmill. I checked my iPad settings and saw that my iPhone was not connected via Bluetooth to my iPad. So I connected it but the echo heart rate would still not connect to my treadmill I unplugged and re-plugged the safety cord out I stopped and restarted the echo heart rate app ultimately I turned off the power to my treadmill for 10 minutes for 10 seconds, turned it back on started the echo heart rate app on my iPhone tapped to start hit the iFIT button on my treadmill and it immediately connected.
When I started the iFIT app, it said that it needed to pair with my treadmill and asked me to press the iFIT sync button on my treadmill which I did and nothing happened. After a few seconds I press the iFIT sink button on my treadmill again and all of a sudden my treadmill incline went up to 10% and stopped there. It did not connect to iFIT. I tried through the iFIT app on my iPad to reconnect my equipmentAnd this time it saw my treadmill and connected. As soon as I selected and started the workout and the warm-up began, my treadmill incline came back down to zero.
